What is Pingdom?

Pingdom is an important tool to anyone that runs a website. It will alert you whenever your site is experiencing offline issues. Alerts can be sent out via email, SMS, Twitter and even as iPhone push notifications. Pingdom has a free iPhone app for iPhone users.

There are also plenty of reports available to let you view your uptime and response time history, track down errors with Pingdom’s automatic error analysis that is performed for every downtime, and much more.

Monitoring is done from multiple locations on the Internet. No installation is necessary; everything is set up easily from within Pingdom’s online control panel, where you can also access all your reports, set up contacts for alerts, and other useful functionality.
